Our Story

KOZAHAN IMPORTS CORP was born out of a shared passion for great food, global culture, and meaningful connections—stretching from the historic streets of Bursa, Türkiye to the vibrant energy of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Our name, Koza Han, comes from a centuries-old marketplace in Bursa, the hometown of our founder, Sarper Celenk. Built in 1491, Koza Han has long stood at the crossroads of the Silk Road and Spice Road, serving as a meeting place for traders, travelers, and culinary explorers from around the world. Even today, it remains a warm and welcoming place where people gather to enjoy food, conversation, and community.

After spending six years in Las Vegas working alongside some of the top chefs and foodservice professionals in the country, Sarper was inspired to bring unique, high-quality food products to the U.S. market. Together with his longtime friend and business partner of over 20 years, Anil "Neil" Yilmaz—a fellow food enthusiast and world traveler—the two began shaping the idea that would become KOZAHAN IMPORTS CORP.

Their vision quickly gained support from respected names in the industry, including Mehmet Sahin Cakan, Türkiye’s largest wild-caught seafood supplier, and Thomas J. Macrina, former president of the American Culinary Federation. Soon after, Sarper integrated his existing brokerage and marketing company, Vegas Food Project, into the new venture to help bring their shared vision to life.

Today, KOZAHAN IMPORTS CORP serves as a modern international trade hub—connecting businesses with best-in-category products from around the world and helping them build lasting, trusted partnerships.
